Engineer Sarah Fadal, the technical office manager of the heritage city in New Alamein City, discussed the construction timeline of the project. She explained that it is divided into two phases: the first for concrete work and the second for finishing, spanning a total of three years.
During an interview with the ‘Alamein Alalam’ program, Fadal added that the heritage city project in Alamein consists of 14 main buildings and 14 service buildings.
She stated that the main buildings include a cinema complex, a Roman theater, a church, a library, an opera house, a museum, an exhibition hall, and the main administrative building for the New Alamein City Authority.
She further explained that the heritage city project in New Alamein City is built on an area of 260 acres and includes a church and an opera house. The project features architectural details that hark back to the old marble style.
She continued, ‘The exhibition hall building has six large halls and is a smaller version of the exhibition hall building in Cairo. The skills development building consists of halls with a recreational area.
