How to apply for an entry visa to Egypt online
In November 2017, the Egyptian government implemented a new e-visa system to facilitate travel to Egypt and speed up border control procedures. The application process is quick and easy. This is to provide some basic information.
The e-Visa allows visitors to spend up to 30 days in this country and is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. An e-Visa is an official document that allows entry and travel within Egypt. Once your application is approved, we recommend that you print a copy of the document to take with you.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE APPLICATION
• A passport scan.
• The name of the destination and its address.
• Credit / debit card or Paypal account.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
• Electronic visas for Egypt allow one or more entries and are issued for people of such nationality as to require a visa to enter Egypt.
• Your Egypt e-Visa is valid for 90 days from issue. The maximum stay in Egypt is 30 days.
• Parents can apply for their children from the parent's account.
• Extremely urgent visa applications for Egypt take about 3 working days.
• Before entering the Arab Republic of Egypt, you will need to show your visa.
• If you exceed the duration indicated on the e-Visa without having a residence permit, penalties may apply, you may be expelled or banned from future travel to Egypt.
• The Egypt e-Visa is not required for US, EU or UK visitors traveling (and staying) in Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Nuweiba and Taba. If the trip lasts less than 15 days, they will be able to travel without a visa.
• Applicants must be in possession of an ordinary passport, valid for at least six months from the date of arrival.
• It is recommended that you have a passport with at least one blank page to get the stamp.
• Once the application has been submitted and approved, the traveler must print at least one copy of the visa.
• You will need to present a printed copy of your e-Visa to the immigration officer at the point of entry.
