The Red Sea is the site of one of the earliest civilizations on Earth. It has been inhabited for thousands of years and its history spans a wide range of cultures and religions, which makes it an interesting destination for tourists.
The Red Sea is bordered by Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Sudan. The southern part of the sea borders Yemen and Eritrea. The eastern coast stretches from Somalia to Oman while its western coast runs up to Jordan’s border with Israel.
The Red Sea is home to many species that are not found anywhere else in the world including corals, jellyfish, dolphins and whales. This region also has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world with some being named among the best in Africa by National Geographic Traveler magazine.
