Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sharif Fathy continued his monitoring of visitor traffic in the Giza Pyramids area for the third consecutive day since the commencement of the trial operation of the services development project within the archaeological site. This project is being implemented by Orascom Pyramids for Entertainment Services.

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities published videos affirming the smooth flow of tourists in the Pyramids area on the third day of the new entrance’s trial operation.

Minister Fathy reported on Thursday’s updates from Supreme Council of Antiquities Secretary-General Mohamed Ismail Khaled, the on-site team, and Orascom Pyramids. These reports, gathered after closing, confirmed the continued smooth flow of visitor movement and the efficient operation of the transportation system connecting stations and routes within the Giza Pyramids area. Everything was proceeding regularly.

The Egyptian Minister of Tourism emphasized the Ministry’s and Orascom Pyramids for Entertainment Services’ commitment to providing the utmost comfort for visitors to the area, both Egyptian and tourists. The aim is to ensure an easy, convenient, and enjoyable tourist experience that will encourage repeat visits.

He also directed all relevant ministries and authorities to collaborate and adhere to the pre-established plan to ensure the success of the trial operation and provide a distinguished tourist experience, making the area more accessible, easier, and more enjoyable for visitors.

The Secretary-General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, who has been present in the archaeological area since the first day of the trial operation to monitor visitor traffic, noted that the Giza Pyramids area received 14,000 visitors today. This represents an 18% increase compared to the first day of the trial operation and a 68% increase compared to the same period last year.
