The number of injured in a tourist bus rollover accident at the entrance to the Um El Qamar road junction within the Suez Governorate has risen to 46, with 44 of them transported to the medical complex.

The Suez Emergency Services received a report from drivers stating that a tourist bus had overturned on the Cairo-Suez road at the entrance to the “Um El Qamar” junction.

Dr. Mina Fouzy, the director of the emergency services, dispatched 15 ambulances from stations on the Cairo-Suez road to the accident site.

Initial investigations revealed that excessive speed caused the accident, resulting in the rollover of the tourist bus heading towards Suez at the entrance to the “Um El Qamar” junction, which connects the Cairo-Suez and Cairo-Ismailia roads near the Suez administrative border with the capital.

The bus was carrying 46 people, including 44 foreign tourists and 2 Egyptians, and the accident resulted in injuries to tourists of various nationalities, including Turks and Britons.
