Egypt banks announce Eid al-Fitr holiday dates
On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Central Bank of Egypt announced the suspension of operations at all banks operating in Egypt starting from Sunday, March 30, 2025, until Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Work will resume on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
The Central Bank stated in its announcement that if the official sighting of the crescent moon for the month of Shawwal in the year 1446 AH indicates that Monday, March 31, 2025, is the first day of Shawwal 1446 AH, then the aforementioned holiday will be extended until Wednesday, April 2, 2025. Work will then resume on the morning of Thursday, April 3, 2025
