Dubai Shopping Festival celebrates 30 years of magic and wonder

Dubai is gearing up for its biggest shopping festival yet, featuring a host of dazzling lights, fireworks, and dazzling drone shows as the city celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

This year’s edition runs from December 6, 2024, to January 12, 2025.

The 30th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival is slated to be the most spectacular and unique in the festival’s history, with a jam-packed 38-day calendar of events promising unforgettable moments for everyone, everyday and in every corner of the city.

In partnership with Visa, Dubai Islamic Bank, Majid al-Futtaim, the Al-Zarooni Group, and other leading brands, the Dubai Shopping Festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

This year’s festival is a testament to the power of collaboration in crafting unforgettable experiences.

Dazzling drones and fireworks

Drone shows sponsored by ADNOC, a key partner of the Dubai Shopping Festival, are returning bigger and better than ever.

Twice daily, at eight pm and 10 pm, 1,000 drones will illuminate the skies above Bluewaters Island and The Beach at JBR.

To celebrate the festival’s 30th anniversary, the first show will take audiences on a nostalgic journey through three decades of memorable moments, while the second show will showcase Dubai’s futuristic vision and its ability to blend tradition with modernity.

Get ready for a groundbreaking entertainment experience as the festival introduces the world’s first-ever combined drone and fireworks shows.

On December 13th, 150 drones will soar through the skies of Bluewaters Island and The Beach at JBR, synchronized with a thrilling skydiving performance.

This innovative display will be repeated at 10:00 pm and will make a final appearance on January 11th to mark the end of the festival.

Dubai’s nights will come alive with dazzling fireworks displays as Al Zarooni Group presents nightly shows at Dubai Festival City Mall at 8:30 PM.

To add to the excitement, Hatta will host twice-weekly fireworks shows during weekends, creating a truly magical experience for all.

Light-shows

The city’s most beloved destinations will come alive with light as Dubai Lights returns to the Shopping Festival. Featuring the work of international and local artists, this event will showcase stunning light installations at Bluewaters Island, Palm Jumeirah Mall, Palm West Beach, Al Seef, Dubai Design District, Al Marmoom, and Kite Beach.
